PM Modi Tops Global Democratic Leader Rankings Again with 75% Approval; Trump Ranks Just 8th

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again clinched the top position in the global democratic leadership approval rankings with a stellar 75% rating, according to the latest Morning Consult Global Leader Approval Tracker. This data, based on surveys conducted between July 4–10, 2025, indicates overwhelmingly positive global and domestic perception of his leadership.

Trailing him are South Korean President Lee Jae‑Myung (59%) and Argentine leader Javier Milei (57%). In a sharp contrast, U.S. President Donald Trump ranks eighth with only 44% approval, well below many fellow democratic heads of state.

According to Morning Consult, 75% of respondents voiced support for Modi, 18% disapproved, and about 7% remained undecided. This continuing dominance reinforces his global appeal, bolstered by social media praise from BJP leaders like Amit Malviya and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, who lauded Modi as “the world’s most trusted and highest‑rated leader” with “strong leadership and global respect”.

With a commanding 75% global approval rating, PM Narendra Modi remains the most trusted democratic leader worldwide. Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s ratings reflect a significant gap in international goodwill, placing him far behind several global counterparts in the seven‑day rolling survey.
